Investment Studio > Views > Downloads > Downloader > Multiple item editor
The multiple item editor is used
to modify download item properties across several download items. To open
it, select two or more items in the Downloads view, then use the pop-up menu in the item
box (click Properties) or click
in the toolbar (if the downloader is not already running, it will be launched first).
Unlike the single item editor, the multiple item editor doesn't show current property values, since those will usually differ across the selected download items. It only shows the new, common values which will be written to all selected items when you click OK:

In the screenshot above, clicking the OK button would change the first argument in all download items to "100". Note that the screenshot also contains a static URL and a path to a parser script (as well as plenty of blanks). Those values would be ignored because the corresponding check boxes are not checked, unlike the check box labeled "Argument #1". Only properties which have been marked this way are modified. At least one property must be marked for modification for the OK button to be enabled.
Most property fields in this dialog have direct equivalents in the single item editor; see its documentation for details on their use and meaning. The one exception, "Data directory", is used to modify the directory part (i.e. everything preceding the filename) of data paths: different download items should normally not share the same data file, so the entire data path can't be set here, but they can (and often should) keep their data files in the same directory.
The single item editor's "Name" and "Symbol" fields have no equivalents at all since those properties should always be unique within (and preferably also across) download lists.

in
the dialog's upper right corner to exit without modifying any
property values.
