Investment Studio > Views > Quotes > Toolbar

The Quotes view's toolbar contains three control groups. They can be repositioned by dragging their beveled "grip"

and (except for the date control group) hidden by unchecking the corresponding entry in the Toolbar submenu of the view's pop-up menu:

This menu also contains functional equivalents to all buttons in the toolbar (under Dates, Objects and Arrange).

The view's toolbar should not be confused with the toolbars of individual tiled objects. In particular, quote records can be added and deleted using the toolbar controls in the view's quote editor (or its pop-up menu equivalents).

"Dates" group

"Objects" group

Use these buttons to toggle the view's Notes object and quote editor on/off and to create new tiled Chart, Graph and Browser objects:
Edit quotes. When this button is depressed, the view's quote editor is visible.
Notes. When this button is depressed, the view's Notes object is visible.
New chart. Click to create a new tiled Chart object using the current default Chart settings.
New graph. Click to create a new tiled Graph object using the current default Graph settings.
New browser. Click to create a new tiled Browser object using the current default Browser settings.
Gallery. Click to open the object Gallery.

"Arrange" group

Use these buttons to auto-arrange the view's tiled objects:
Cascade. Click to cascade all tiles.
Tile horizontal. Click to tile horizontally.
Tile vertical. Click to tile vertically.
Since accidentally auto-arranging a view will disrupt its layout, it's usually a good idea to hide this button group when it's not needed.
