Investment Studio > Views > Web

Use the Web view to create and quickly switch between tiled mosaics of Browser objects (plus an optional Notes object for comments and reminders).

The following screenshot highlights the key features of the Web view:

The list to the left displays the names of all available mosaics. The selected mosaic is displayed in the tile container to the right.

To sort the mosaics alphabetically, click the list's Mosaic header. Click it a second time to reverse the sort order.

To change the name of a mosaic, select it, wait a moment, then click the name to open its in-place editor. Press Enter to close the in-place editor and commit to the new name; press Esc to abort editing and revert to the previous name.

To find a mosaic by name, right-click the list to open its pop-up menu, then use Find.

To create a new mosaic from scratch, press Ins (the list must have input focus). Alternatively, right-click the list to open its pop-up menu, then use New.

To create a copy of an existing mosaic, right-click it, then use Copy in the pop-up menu.

The panel to the right contains all tiles in the selected mosaic. Mosaics can consist of an arbitrary number of Browser objects. They always include a Notes object, which may be visible or hidden.

Right-click the tile container to open its pop-up menu:

Use the Toolbar menu to hide or show the toolbar (3) and its button groups. Use the Objects and Arrange menus to access functional equivalents to the toolbar buttons.

The tile container and the mosaic list can be horizontally resized by dragging the empty space which separates them.

Use the toolbar's Objects button group to:

Show or hide the selected mosaic's Notes object.

Add a copy of the current default Browser to the selected mosaic.

Add a new Browser to the selected mosaic using a template from the Gallery.

Use the toolbar's Arrange group to autoarrange all tiles in the selected mosaic:

From left to right, clicking these buttons will cause the tiles to be cascaded, tiled horizontally and tiled vertically, respectively.

Both button groups may be repositioned by dragging their beveled "grip"

and hidden using the toolbar's or the tile container's pop-up menu (see above).

The toolbar is visible only if it contains a least one visible control group and is itself set to visible.

Every mosaic has a Notes object for your comments and reminders.

Click in the toolbar or Objects > Notes in the tile container's pop-up menu to toggle between visible and hidden Notes.
